Since the November vote, Trump has been calling the 2020 contest (the one where he got shellacked), a "stolen election". He promoted what others coined "Stop the Steal". That phrase inspired some of his most angry supporters to the "The Big Insurrection" at the nation’s capitol. As a result, hopefully, some of those folks who he whipped into a frenzy will spend time in the BIG HOUSE.

After over 60 court decisions, including his own 6-3 majority US Supreme Court bouncing him on his supreme tush, Trump continues with his attack upon our democracy.   He has "ghosts-of-a-chance" fantasy to change the elections results.  His behavior reminds many of us of an emotionally spoiled-brat--who will torch earth rather than being branded as a “loser”.

It’s time to care.

In fact, it’s time to care  about facts.

Ever since the House of Representatives impeached Donald Trump, significant information has emerged that, if accurate, blows a major hole in the Republican defense of Trump.

Former Louisiana Governor and former Presidential candidate in the 2016 elections, Bobby Jindal has penned another oped for the Wall Street Journal, this time, writing about the somewhat ironic success that the Democratic Party is having in certain areas of which it should not be succeeding.

Hours after the United States President Donald Trump and the Republican Congress celebrated a humongous legislative victory with passing its tax reform package in record time without any Democratic support, back home in Louisiana, there's a different tune being sung.

First, up in DC: The US tax reform plan passed without any hearings and sworn testimony.  Very few, if anyone in Congress read the legislation since none of them even saw it until an hour or so before the vote. That legislation, which passed and signed into law today, put the finishing touches upon the Trump-led US Congressional congressional agenda in which all respect for the ordinary congressional process was ignored. Earlier this year, Republicans unsuccessfully yet similarly attempted to repeal Obamacare without any hearings, or participation by the minority Democrats and yes, without legislation being available for lawmakers to debate.

Though the conversation depicted in this cartoon likely didn’t go down exactly this way, it is, nonetheless, typical of the mindset of not only Republicans, but Democrats as well. The merits of a given piece of legislation are immaterial; if it’s being proposed by the opposition party, we’re against it.

How does the process in passing  the Republican tax plan and its attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act compare with the actual passage of Obamacare during 2009 to March 2010?

For years, Republicans have slammed the Obamacare legislative process, Congress not reading the legislation, it being passed without the support of the people. Speaker of the House's Nancy Pelosi's statement about passing the bill into law so they know what's in it might go down as the one of the most-quoted political lines for American history. 

Trump at new low in poll

    President Donald Trump’s job approval rating has declined to the lowest of his presidency.  Not only that, nearly half of voters favor Democrats to serve as a check and balance to Trump and Congressional Republicans in the 2018 elections.
    That’s the finding of a new NBC/Wall Street Journal .poll conducted by Democratic pollster Fred Yang of Hart Research Associates and Republican pollster Bill McInturff of Public Opinion Strategies.
    His current job approval rating of 38%, with  58% disapproving, is the lowest in modern times for a president at this stage of his presidency.  

Every day Donald Trump is President of the United States, the Republican Party lives another lie. Ronald Reagan would never belong to the party of Trump. Neither would Eisenhower, nor any other Republican President from the greatest to the most mediocre. Trump’s brand of Republicanism isn’t just unprecedented; it’s aberrant and dangerous.
