A big dividing line in our country today is whether to wear a face mask or not. For Memorial Day services, former Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Jill wore masks. In contrast, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump paid their respects on Memorial Day without masks.
In many cities and states across the nation, the number of Covid-19 cases is going down, yet the masking requirements are becoming more stringent. In New Orleans, residents are always supposed to wear a mask, even when outdoors. For businesses, both employees and customers must wear masks. These are more stringent requirements than the State of Louisiana which just recommends mask-wearing.
Today, if the weather prevails, America will hit two milestones. The first is our return to space with the first launch in nearly ten years of a US man-occupied spacecraft. The second did not take a decade. Nor did it take ten months. Within less than three months, this country has witnessed the most destructive population genocide in American history, thanks to Covid-19. On leap year day, the first corona-virus death was recorded. The virus which we were told would suddenly disappear has resulted in the morbid and jaw-dropping disappearance of 100,000 loved ones.
During his 20 years in the U.S. Senate, Jeff Sessions was a solid conservative who was right on issues such as stopping illegal immigration. He was the first U.S. Senator to endorse Donald Trump for President and was rewarded with one of the most coveted appointments in the new administration. Trump appointed Sessions to be U.S. Attorney General.
Unfortunately, Sessions was a cowardly leader of the Department of Justice. He permitted Deep State operatives to remain in key positions. He recused himself from the Russia investigation, allowing his Deputy Attorney General, Rod Rosenstein, to appoint Robert Mueller as a Special Counsel.
When Republicans failed to deliver for the American people and lost their majority in the United States House of Representatives in 2018, a true poison was unleashed on the nation. Once again, Nancy Pelosi became U.S. Speaker of the House and in her second stint in this position, she has been incredibly damaging to this country.
As the country prepares for another presidential election, Americans are learning more about the five-year effort to destroy Donald Trump. As a GOP candidate for the 2016 presidential nomination, Trump was regularly targeted by the liberal media and the Republican Party establishment.
Former Vice President Joe Biden is the presumptive Democratic Party, presidential nominee. He has received the endorsements of every major figure in the party, including former President Barack Obama, and 2016 Democratic Party presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. Biden was also endorsed by all his opponents in this year’s nomination battle, including U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
What should we do about Tara Reade?
Unless you've been on media lockdown lately, the lady somewhat has morphed into Joe Biden's running mate, of sorts. The Bidens, the Democrats, the media, and the anti-Trumpers are running away from her story, ready to explode. They must not. The past has long legs.
It took President Trump three years to build the world’s best economy with an unemployment rate of only 3.5%, rising wages, strong consumer confidence, and a robust stock market. Sadly, it only took three weeks for that healthy economy to be destroyed and the longer the economy is closed for business, the harder it will be for our nation to recover.
The new unemployment numbers are horrific. Another 4.5 million Americans applied for unemployment benefits last week. Since the beginning of this health crisis in March, the total number of unemployed Americans has exceeded 26 million.
Some experts believe the unemployment rate will eventually surpass 20%, nearing the all-time high of 24.9% in 1933, in the middle of the Great Depression.
As you grab your hat on the way out the door to work did you know?
The coronavirus, aka Covid-19, is a scheme to destroy the American economy, to bring down President Donald Trump and to install socialism as a body-politic.
Or, at least, that is what I have read on twitter, other social media and have heard on rush radio and the like.
After several months of non-stop media hysteria, Americans are finally getting sick and tired of hearing about the dangers of Covid-19 and reminded about the precautions they must make. It is getting nauseating for every news program and a growing number of commercials to obsess about the coronavirus.
Of course, Americans are concerned about the disease and want to be safe, but full safety can never be guaranteed. There will always be killer diseases that can impact Americans. This has been the case since our country was founded 244 years ago.
Just in case you are in doubt, Donald Trump did not create the covid-19. He did not ask it to visit the United States. He has not personally fired over sixteen million people over the past three weeks. Regardless, it is time for him to take responsibility.
I know, many of you are going to cry out and say this is a “ hit piece”. You will defend the president, call all of those people who are critical of him and his coronavirus performance as not caring about America, casting blame rather than working together for the greater good.
As the world begins a second month of lockdown in response to the nightmare known as the coronavirus, it is essential to examine how this mess developed and how we return to some semblance of normalcy.
As part of the quest for truth, the three types of lies must be identified: lies, damned lies and statistics.
It is a lie that COVID-19 originated at some wet market in Wuhan, China. The media and most of the scientific and medical communities are holding to that theory; however, we do not know definitively. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) officials were not allowed into China to investigate the virus in the early stages. The communist Chinese government is notorious for lying and mistreating both its citizens and outsiders, so their statements verifying the wet market origins of the virus cannot be trusted.
In February, the nation added 273,000 jobs to the economy and the unemployment rate was only 3.5%. The Trump economy was booming, the stock market was hitting record highs and the American public was confident about the future of the economy. My, how times have changed.
Since that idyllic period, worries about the coronavirus have exploded and the nation’s economy has been essentially shut down, except for certain critical sectors. All indicators have moved to negative territory. For example, the stock market is down about 30% from its February all-time high.
