As the Media Research Center (MRC) has identified numerous times in recent studies, the mainstream news media is hopelessly liberal. For example, the MRC has discovered that the broadcast news programs produce content about President Trump that is 90-95% negative.
Even more liberal than the broadcast news programs are the cable news networks such as CNN and MSNBC. These networks use their broadcast platforms to mercilessly criticize the President’s agenda. Thus, it should come as no surprise that this liberal monolith would create an opening for a conservative alternative. It is why Fox News has been so successful since its founding in 1996. It is the reason why Fox News leads in the cable ratings. It is also why so many talk radio shows are popular.

Okay, this is going to bring out all the foaming-at-the-mouth Trump supporters. But go ahead, give it your best shot. (a) I am used to your blind, hear-no-evil, see-no-evil, speak-no-evil unwavering devotion to anyone who speaks the same hate-filled “all-hat-and-no-cattle” rhetoric as you and (b) I don’t really care because I would rather stand up for decency, honesty, and respectability than to curry favor with any of you.
Having said that, I can now turn my attention to Mr. Hominy and grits, Mr. syrup for brains, Mr. Hypocrisy himself, aka Louisiana’s junior senator John Neely Kennedy, for his latest sound bite for the TV cameras.
According to Morning Consult, President Donald Trump's approval in each state show the net approval down double digits in key 2016 states since inauguration although GOP voters back him overwhelmingly. However, the survey conflicts somewhat with a just-released Rasmussen Poll, a conservative poll that has determined that Trump has just tied his highest favorable since inauguration nationally, with 51-47 percent. This would be a climb of 4 percent since mid-March. Overall, the Real Clear Politics poll average stands at 44 percent.
It should surprise no one that in the radicalized Democratic Party of 2019, disgraced Reverend Al Sharpton is a major power-broker. His influence has been on display this week as many of the major Democratic Party presidential candidates attended a convention sponsored by the National Action Network, a “civil rights” organization founded by Sharpton.
A new Morning Consult/politico poll emerged Wednesday morning with interesting results as it relates to a variety of issues--which party is most trusted on healthcare, the Joe Biden factor, the evolution and support of the Mueller probe and other issues.
With President Donald Trump now planning to make healthcare reform a major 2020 campaign issue, as of today, with 19 months prior to election day, the voters trust the Democrats more than the Republicans on that vital issue.
The new phenomenon of the political world is U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), otherwise known as “AOC.” This upstart congresswoman was bartending last year. Now, the entire political world knows her by her initials.
In less than three months, she has upended the Congress and the Democratic Party. It is AOC who is controlling the agenda, not House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). This 29-year old is garnering more media attention than any other Democrat politician today. She has mastered social media and the talking points of the left.
Her major initiative, the Green New Deal, has been discussed in both houses of Congress. It is an ambitious agenda that calls for a “10-year national mobilization” to transition from fossil fuels to renewable sources of energy. Some of the plan’s goals include the “eliminating the necessity for air travel” and providing “economic security to citizens unable or unwilling to work.”
The Democratic Party is getting ready for a wide open 2020 presidential campaign. As of today, over a dozen candidates have officially entered the race and many more are waiting in the wings.
National and state polls show that many voters are unsatisfied with the current candidates and prefer former Vice President Joe Biden, a well known politician with an uneven political resume. While Biden did serve six terms as United States Senator from Delaware and two terms as Vice President, he also failed miserably in his two previous campaigns for the White House.
Over the past few days, social media has been on fire with discussion about the Mueller report, or what I label the Barr report. There have been accusations made coming from the Trump camp and his ardent supporters in Congress and elsewhere that “Mueller has spoken”, it is time to move on and that people in the media, Congress and elsewhere, who have doubted the president should apologize. Trump and his new “chief of staff” or is it, “Head of Propaganda”, Sean Hannity, appears to go further stating that there should be blood. The president is even throwing around the word treason for some and making veiled threats of retribution.
All of us are anxiously waiting for the Mueller report to be released. The media has reporters stationed in place when some announcement is to be made. The White House has it’s “A-Team” of communications surrogates ready to slam the report before a single word is revealed. The CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC are primed to speculate about what Mueller has provided the US Attorney, William Barr.
Collusion might be found, might not. Mueller also could opine upon matters of obstruction of justice or abuse of power. Then again, maybe he found none or remains silent on the issues altogether.
Historically, American college campuses are places where open discussion and debate have been encouraged and welcomed. For generations, these campuses are where the nation’s young people have been allowed to express themselves and challenge authority.
In the 1960’s, the anti-Vietnam War movement found a home on college campuses throughout the country. Unfortunately, in recent years, there has been a movement to stifle free speech, especially the rights of conservatives to express themselves.

At one time the media reported stories as they developed and made every effort to get it right. This required extensive interviews with several sources and double checking both the evidence provided and the sources of that evidence to verify the truth.
It was a matter of journalistic ethics to “get it right.” There was pride in being a journalist then and editors made certain that their media organs maintained a rigid 4elevel of unbiased accuracy that garnered public respect.
It looks like another heavyweight Democratic presidential contender is on the verge of entering the race. Former Vice President Joe Biden is moving closer to making an official announcement that he will be a candidate in 2020.
If he runs, Biden will start at the top of the polls. The latest Emerson national poll has Biden and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders tied at 26%, leading the large field of candidates.
The Democrats now have their rock star in the ever growing presidential race. On Thursday, Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke officially launched his bid for the presidency. Beto is hoping to capitalize on the excitement that surrounded his losing U.S. Senate race last year in Texas. Despite a massive haul of $80 million, O’Rourke lost the race to incumbent U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX).
Did the Obama administration collude to protect Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election?
Here is how one writer from Grabien , put it:
On Monday, hard evidence finally landed that collusion did in fact occur during the 2016 campaign. Yet somehow these networks have yet to report the bombshell development.
