It’s a common refrain by Republicans that the Russia investigation, headed by Robert Mueller, should be wrapped-up as soon as possible. Trump surrogate, Rudy Giuliani, has appeared, lately, on television more often than Stormy Daniels’ lawyer and Trump antagonist, Michael Avenatti, to make this point. Both are highly entertaining but each has failed to reveal more substance than form.
According to the Media Research Center, broadcast television news coverage of President Trump was 90% negative in the first quarter of 2018. This is not an aberration for it has been happening non-stop since Donald Trump announced his presidential campaign on June 16, 2015.
The media presents a sustained flow of Trump hating garbage masquerading as news reporting. It not only a hallmark of the broadcast news programs, but it also the type of biased “Trump coverage” presented by major newspapers and cable news outlets. The only exceptions are Fox News, some Internet sites and talk radio.
" The buzzwords in the Mueller investigation today, one year anniversary of the start of the investigation is witch hunt" and "can't indict a sitting president".
Whether it is a witch hunt of not will be better determined once the investigaton runs its course. Whether a President can be indicted while serving might be an issue that could ultimately be decided by the US Supreme Court.
However, overlaying both of those questions is another very important issue being discussed on cable TV and in the news recently, namely--what could be the effect should President Donald Trump decide to pardon others being targeted by the federal government? Believe it or not, an ancillary issue is--what happens if he pardons himslf?
If true, this one should be easy.
President Donald Trump, according to a variety of articles hitting the Internet ,is trying to help a Chinese telecom company ZTE in a controversial move given his prior statements about the Chinese’s business practices. The problem with this mystery transaction is that it might, and I say might, be totally unethical, if not, unlawful.
A new report by the Media Research Center showed that during the first four months of 2018, the mainstream broadcast networks continued to display their hatred of President Trump as 90% of their coverage was negative. This continues the trend from the final quarter of 2017, when 91% of the Trump coverage was negative.
On Friday there was more good economic news as the jobs report showed the unemployment rate dropped to 3.9%, the lowest since 2000. For African Americans and Hispanics, the unemployment rate is now the lowest ever recorded. In April, 164,000 nonfarm jobs were added to payrolls surpassing a 135,000 increase in employment in March. Among the sectors to perform well in April were construction which added 17,000 new jobs and manufacturing employment which surged by 24,000 jobs.

President Donald Trump did not attend the White House Correspondence Dinner again this year. This is a one hundred years old tradition where members of the Press and the President gather together for a “good natured” roast of one another.
Isn’t it amazing that the Trump Alternative Facts crew is so up in arms over Michelle Wolf’s comedic shtick.
It’s not like she called Donald Trump, a “Fake President” or “The enemy of the American people” or “Lyin Donald”.
No. Those wouldn't have gotten any laughs.
Last rites for the Republican-controlled House and Senate?
Perhaps.
According to two Louisiana politicos, political writer Christopher Tidmore and pollster and analyst John Couvillon of JMC Polling and Analytics, right now, it's doom and gloom time at the not-so-ok GOP corral.
Yet, we know that mid-term elections are six months away. Based upon the 2016 elections, one can never say "never" in the age of Trump. Still, as the present is precursor to the future, judging by Couvillon's and Tidmore's view of the national political landscape, there could be plenty of cursing and blaming among the ranks of Republicans, this November coming.
Sad to say that the truth has become a diminishing commodity in America today. Particularly when it comes to many branches of government. Remember the old adage that “I’m from the federal government and I’m here to help you?” Too often, they are here to examine, investigate and even prosecute you.
On October 9, 2009, then United States President Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.” While the award was given to Obama over eight months after he was inaugurated, nominations for the prize were closed a mere 11 days after he took the oath of office.
Donald Trump today has told the world that he did not do what he said he had done
This morning, in a tweet, slamming James Comey, Trump said:
Slippery James Comey, the worst FBI Director in history, was not fired because of the phony Russia investigation where, by the way, there was NO COLLUSION (except by the Dems)!
Today, Stormy Daniels revealed the sketch of the person she claims threatened her in a Las Vegas parking lot seven years ago. She originally made the claim of a man making a veiled threat demanding that she drop the Donald Trump thing after she made efforts to tell her story about her alleged relationship with Trump in 2006.
Daniels showed the sketch on The View. Here is the transcript of the discussion:
Whether you believe it or not that Stormy Daniels, the porn star, was threatened by some unknown man in a Las Vegas parking lot, here is the picture of the man who allegedly engaged in the threat.
