truth battleThe bell has rung. The battle match for the truth has begun.

So we can all agree that James Comey made major mistakes during the 2016 elections. And, I think most of us can agree, that Comey  continues to do so as he swings at President Trump recounting it all through his book and TV appearances.

Cutting to the chase, with all of the punching, bobbing, weaving and President Donald Trump's famous counter-punches, is anyone landing any real blows. Or, are we watching too much swinging below the belt?

sky trump

The sky won’t fall if Democrats get elected in droves in November, or Republican resist a wave. The world won’t end if Donald Trump is sent packing, either, but you wouldn’t know it from the president’s fund-raising pleas and Republican hand-wringing. Demographics are more likely than anything else to change the country. It doesn’t matter that James Comey is skewering the president, or whomsoever may sit in seats currently occupied by Paul Ryan or Mitch McConnell. It’s pretty clear that young people, already, hate Trump and his bellicose politics by a large margin.

Paul RyanThe latest polls show the potential for a “blue wave” of Democratic Party victories this fall. Conventional wisdom holds that the Democrats will win back control of the U.S. House and possibly the U.S. Senate, even though they have to defend 25 seats compared to only eight for the Republicans.

DEEP DENIALIt’s time to calm down.

The feds engaged in an extraordinary step in getting a warrant to obtain important records belonging to Michael Cohen, Donald Trump’s attorney. The reason presented in the media so far is there claim that the documents are related to a potential crime associated with the Stormy Daniels case.

fired2In his first 15 months, President Donald Trump has fired more administration officials than many Presidents do in an entire term. At this point, it is essential that he use his Celebrity Apprentice tagline “You’re Fired,” for three more Department of Justice officials: Special Counsel Robert Mueller, “The Jackal,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions “The Weasel,” and, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein “The Snake.”

point center 3From a pure theoretical economic standpoint, which states would be hurt by a trade war?

If you looked only at two numbers, GDP and percentage of the GDP, two states, very important to the political future of Donald Trump and the Republican Party, are Michigan and Louisiana.

michelle obama hairAt the Simmons College leadership conference in Boston on Thursday, former first lady Michelle Obama praised her husband’s presidency while taking a veiled swipe at President Trump. She said that her husband’s administration was “like having the good parent at home.” In Michelle Obama’s warped view, her husband filled the national role of a “responsible parent, the one who told you to eat your carrots and go to bed on time.”

jindal trump3Former Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, who ran for President against then-candidate Donald Trump, is singing praise for Trump's policies. Jindal has been a significant critic of Trump's tweets and erractic behavior. During the campaign, the Louisiana governor called Trump a nariccist, labeling him insecure and weak.     However, in a op-ed which appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Jindal trumpet's the President's knack for understanding the blue-collar and middle-class households and his ability to fulfill his committments to them.

trump target 6Thank God we don’t have to talk about Stormy Daniels this week, and how her lawyer bushwhacked the president’s posse. There’s something new for a change. It’s called semantics, as in the difference between “subject” and “target.” Donald Trump, the special counsel informs, is the subject of an investigation, but not its target. It’s a wonderful revelation because it has something for everyone.

fnn pic 4The Trump hating media has found a new obsession and her name is Stormy Daniels. The porn star is alleging a 2006 one-night stand with President Trump and the media cannot get enough of this story. In recent weeks, Daniels has been the focus of countless CNN and MSNBC segments. Her interview with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes was hyped for weeks, leading to a massive audience of 22 million viewers for the show. This was biggest audience for 60 Minutes in the last ten years.
