It’s time to calm down.

The feds engaged in an extraordinary step in getting a warrant to obtain important records belonging to Michael Cohen, Donald Trump’s attorney. The reason presented in the media so far is there claim that the documents are related to a potential crime associated with the Stormy Daniels case.

In his first 15 months, President Donald Trump has fired more administration officials than many Presidents do in an entire term. At this point, it is essential that he use his Celebrity Apprentice tagline “You’re Fired,” for three more Department of Justice officials: Special Counsel Robert Mueller, “The Jackal,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions “The Weasel,” and, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein “The Snake.”

Uh, oh.

For almost a year and a half, the cry coming out of Trump world has been “Russia, Russia, Russia.

Obviously, that issue emerges out of the investigation into possible Trump campaign “collusion” with Russia.  While the Republicans in the House Intelligence Committee have claimed they have found no collusion, all is not well for Trump and his administration.

John R. Edwards and Donald J. Trump—what do these two men have in common?

Remember John R. Edwards?  He was a North Carolina US Senator who twice ran for US President and  who Kerry chose as his 2004 running mate. He is the man whose career blew up during his presidential run in 2008 after an affair was exposed while his wife suffered from cancer?  The Department of Justice indicted him for his role because of payment of hush money to his mistress was claimed to be an illegal campaign contribution.

Did Donald Trump or his campaign (or anyone else) violate the federal campaign finance law--assuming an alleged $130,000 was paid to Stormy Daniels by Michael Cohen to silence her from talking about an possible sexual affair in 2006?

This is a question that emanates from a legal filing by Common Cause early this week.
