“Mr. President, with you all roads lead to Fordham.”  Before Donald Trump got his academic bona fides at Penn, with its acclaimed Wharton school, he spent two years at Fordham University in the Bronx. Close to his home, and run by the Jesuits, it is a fine school, by all reasonable standards, even if it isn’t Ivy League. In fact, the only reason it deserves mention, since the University keeps its Trump affiliation mostly to itself, is a partial responsibility for gaps in the president’s knowledge of history,

President Trump is about to travel to Vietnam to meet with North Korea’s  Kim Jung Un. The purpose is to further seek accommodation with North Korea regarding its nuclear weapons program.

They have met once, and despite what critics have been saying, the fact remains that Kim has not launched any missiles, nor has he tested nuclear devices since that meeting nearly one year ago.   That is a far better arrangement from what occurred over the past decade.

cohen hear

Today, President Trump is in Hanoi, Vietnam negotiating with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. This is their second summit, which gives the world a historic chance for the removal of nuclear weapons from the Korean peninsula. It signifies the tremendous progress that has been achieved in a very short period of time. Until recently, this dictator was testing nuclear weapons and building nuclear facilities. He was also holding Americans hostage. Today, the hostages have been released, the nuclear testing and expansion has stopped and remains of American soldiers killed in the Korean War have been returned to the United States.

Trump to his Intel: Get thee back to a schoolery

TRUMP U 2

For those keeping score, the American Foreign policy and intelligence Super Bowl reveals that the President's Intel Chiefs are not willing to be benched as to the way they see the world.  However, the President hired them all and can fire them all without cause. And he can publicly insult their individual and collective intelligence as he has done to others in his administration who have disagreed with him.

trump kim rockets 6Thanks to the summitry of president Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un, in a Sheldon Adelson casino in Singapore, Hollywood is safe from imminent nuclear attack. Kim’s hostile designs on Tinseltown, and Sony Pictures, in particular, originated in a Seth Rogen and James Franco 2014 farce, The Interview, which tells the improbable story of two lame characters recruited by the CIA to assassinate Kim, which they succeed in doing with a rocket, thereby, giving additional meaning to Trump’s frequent insult of “Rocket Man.”

trimp world 6

Canada’s Justin Trudeau is an earnest young altruist who believes human nature is essentially good, and public service a noble calling with the end of elevating everyone. That makes him an outlier, a weakling in a world where spoils accrue, more often than not, to the strong, in places where the last shall never be first, and consensus building is a fault.

The prime minister wouldn’t last long in an America transformed, seemingly overnight, into duchies of self-interest that vie with each other for superiority. Even the good guys, whoever they may be at any given moment, recite the mantra that politics is a dirty business; and so it is, by way of self-fulfilling prophecy.

trump china swampIf true, this one should be easy.

President Donald Trump, according to a variety of articles hitting the Internet ,is trying to help a Chinese telecom company ZTE in a controversial move given his prior statements about the Chinese’s business practices. The problem with this mystery transaction is that it might, and I say might, be totally unethical, if not, unlawful.
