I don’t know about you, but I sure am confused about all this current debate over gender equity, gay rights, and transgenders, especially with new rulings by the U.S. Supreme Court.  I keep reading in the newspaper about LGBT. I had to look up the lettering to even know what the abbreviation means. Being “politically correct” has become an obsession with much of the country as well as right here at home in Louisiana.

While there are plenty of different leagues for various sports, there is one that transcends all of them, The NCA (No Conservatives Allowed).

Professional sports in our country has been captured by a radical, leftist ideology that refuses to tolerate other points of view. In fact, anyone daring to express a contrarian opinion is automatically ridiculed and castigated as a racist. The offending party will be either ostracized and criticized and forced to grovel and apologize or will be terminated from any association with the league.

Today, if the weather prevails, America will hit two milestones.  The first is our return to space with the first launch in nearly ten years of a US man-occupied spacecraft.  The second did not take a decade. Nor did it take ten months.  Within less than three months, this country has witnessed the most destructive population genocide in American history, thanks to Covid-19.  On leap year day, the first corona-virus death was recorded. The virus which we were told would suddenly disappear has resulted in the morbid and jaw-dropping disappearance of 100,000 loved ones.

In this holiday season, the leftists who constantly promote politically correct causes have been working overtime. Their first victim was the innocent special that airs on ABC, “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.” According to critics, it displayed racism because the show’s only black character “Franklin” was seating alone on one side of the table while three white characters were on the other side. This nonsensical charge was especially ridiculous because “Franklin” is seated right next to white characters in another “Peanuts” show and the creator of the cartoon, Charles Schultz, was very proud of the “Franklin” character and added him to the cartoon after the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. Schultz fought to integrate his cartoon, exactly the opposite of the type of criticism that was leveled by the politically correct police.

Today, all Starbucks locations around the nation are closing as their 175,000 employees will be given several hours of racial sensitivity training. This exercise in political correctness is in response to an incident in a Philadelphia Starbucks store that was captured on a cell phone video. Two African American customers were arrested after they were denied the use of a restroom after refusing to order anything or leave the store. After the video went viral and people across the nation expressed outrage, Starbucks settled with the men by paying them an undisclosed amount of money and giving them an offer of free education.  

Another one of our great national institutions, the Boy Scouts of America, has officially lost its way. This week, the Boy Scouts formally opened their doors to girls. This act of inclusion was wisely not followed by the Girl Scouts, who will remain an exclusively female organization.
