If you think about it, aren't the Louisiana Republican legislators in the driver's seat to be able to fix that onerous and seemingly ever-present, fiscal cliff?

I think so. And, apparantly, so does Rob Maness, who like the fiscal hawks in the House of Representatives and some in the Senate, want budget cuts now and deep and reasonable. They, along with just about everybody in the state are tired of the annual budget crises. They have been urging primarily the scapel and reform, others favor less knife and more gas, or revenues, to soften the blow of less governmental services. 

And guess what? It seems since the Republicans control the Louisiana legislature, they can make those cavernous cuts without the help or"interference" of the Democrats (some might say). This could mean Republican slamming down the peddle preventing various factions, including even Governor John Bel Edwards, from having any real say.

Donald Trump, unquestionably, had great economic news he had a right to gloat over with the jobs report posting on Friday, an increase of $313,000 jobs for the month of February. The stock market remains strong, the jobs are becoming more plentiful and there is optimism in the air.

Retired Col. Rob Maness, during our Friday morning Facebook and Twitter Live show, being held at 8am, weekly, said that President Donald Trump runs risk of impeachment if he abandons 2nd Amendment. 

We know there is a swamp in Washington DC that President Trump promised to drain although some might argue that the only things that have changed are the critters that habituating it.  But, other than our Bayous, does the State Capitol in Baton Rouge own its own swamps too?

Is Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards ready to be a hero? Is he willing and ready to take the reins, be a leader, pull a “Nixon goes to China” and get the Louisiana budget on a secure and stable process?

These are the basic thrusts of the comments articulated by Rob Maness earlier this morning as he discussed with me, the Louisiana legislative session via Facebook and Twitter Live.

According to a just-released poll, commissioned on behalf of Louisiana State Representative candidate, Rob Maness, Colonel Maness is in good position in his third attempt for elective office.
