Edwards has double-digit lead
Democrat John Bel Edwards holds a double-digit lead over Republican David Vitter in the race for Louisiana governor, according to two new polls.
A poll release Monday by JMC Analytics showed:
*Edwards leads Vitter 51-35%. Undecided 13%.

John Bel Edwards leads in new poll
In the first poll after the gubernatorial primary election, Democrat John Bel Edwards holds a 12-point lead over Republican U.S. Sen. David Vitter, 52-40%.
The poll, conducted by Anzalone Liszt Grove Research, did live telephone interviews with 700 likely voters October 26-28.
State Rep. John Bel Edwards, it appears, could return the governor’s office to Democratic hands. He had an impressive 40% of the vote in the gubernatorial primary on Saturday.

When theFax-Net published a Public Policy Polling (PPP) poll on the governor’s race last week, which showed Democrat John Bel Edwards defeating Republican U.S. Sen. David Vitter in a runoff, we advised to sit tight because more polls would be forthcoming.

NEW GOVERNOR'S POLL
There is a new poll on the Louisiana governor’s race, but there is not much new in it. Triumph Campaigns, which conducted the poll, admits, “...overall, the ballot for governor has not changed much.”
The survey was conducted with 1,019 respondents on Sept. 1-2. The margin of error is +/-2.9%. Here are the results:

John Bel Edwards opens HQ
Democratic state Rep. John Bel Edwards is feeling pretty good about his chances of becoming the next governor of Louisiana.
A recent poll by noted pollster Vern Kennedy of Market Research Insight revealed that Edwards is running even with Republican U.S. Sen. David Vitter, each getting 43% of the vote in a runoff.
