Trump is vaccine for deadly swamp virus

swamp drain trump 3

It took decades for the politically correct, progressive and insufferable swamp monsters to establish total control of our universities, our corporations, our special interests groups, Hollywood, our professional sports leagues and, most importantly, our federal, state and local governments. It will take another four years for President Donald Trump to “drain the swamp,” but he has made incredible progress in his first term. Clearly, President Trump is the vaccine that, for decades, patriotic Americans prayed would emerge and destroy this swamp virus.

The title of this column starts with "Trump's midterm". That is what it is. He told us often that the election is about him. He deserves credit. He deserves blame. He is the dominant figure on stage and those winning or losing deserve the supporting awards, nothing more.

For now, other than Mississippi, the midterms voting is essentially history. As I write this column, the Republicans have kept the US Senate and will likely pick up some highly-coveted seats, adding to its majority. The Democrats finally have a seat at the table. No longer can President Trump and the Republicans in Congress railroad legislation without hearings as they did over the past two years. And, of course, there are those investigations that were clearly throttled by Trump, Nunes and other House Chairmen.

gop congress restLast rites for the Republican-controlled House and Senate?

Perhaps.

According to two Louisiana politicos, political writer Christopher Tidmore and pollster and analyst John Couvillon of JMC Polling and Analytics, right now, it's doom and gloom time at the not-so-ok GOP corral.

Yet, we know that mid-term elections are six months away. Based upon the 2016 elections, one can never say "never" in the age of Trump. Still, as the present is precursor to the future, judging by Couvillon's and Tidmore's view of the national political landscape, there could be plenty of cursing and blaming among the ranks of Republicans, this November coming.

gop nukeNorth Korea Watch: Will President Trump nuke himself and the Republican Party?

The greatest fear during the election was Trump’s suitability to nuke

What’s wrong with President Pence, or even Ryan?

Let’s see. President Donald Trump is sending love notes to the Special Counsel, Robert Mueller, who’s conducting a fake investigation into a made up deal because Mueller is doing such a good job pursuing what’s not there. As if that’s not enough, the President said, a bit ago, that Kim Jong-un, North Korea’s quixotic hereditary ruler, the guy who’s threatening to annihilate Guam, was someone it’d be an honor to meet because he’s done a good job at being a young dictator. Let’s not forget Vladimir Putin, boss of all bosses in Russia, over whom Trump fawned in the most obsequious way. Now, Putin is calling him a weakling. Ouch!
