Former Vice President Joe Biden has enjoyed incredibly favorable coverage from the mainstream media in the 2020 presidential race. His baggage, such as a history of plagiarism, racist comments, and shady dealings for his son Hunter, has been completely ignored by the media.

While the media are working overtime to demonize President Donald Trump, Biden has been able to stay in his basement for months conducting very few interviews. In his recent press appearances, Biden has exited without taking questions from the media. His staffers told the media to leave and they meekly complied with these demands without shouting any questions.

Donald Trump has been like no other president in American history. To say he is unique would be an understatement. He is the first president to make extensive use of social media especially Twitter. His daily tweets are the talk of the daily news cycle.

In addition to his extensive use of Twitter, Donald Trump’s campaign rallies are just as much over the top as his tweets. His exaggeration of his accomplishments and his claims of the failures of prior presidents are hallmarks for news coverage and food for his followers. His legions of supporters love him. The left not so much. And those who consider themselves in the political middle are left perplexed and confused.

Presidential election season has kicked off earlier than usual with new democrat candidates appearing almost daily.  Fourteen announced candidates so far with others like former Vice President Joe Biden waiting in the wings.  The President is unopposed for now, but anti-Trump forces are searching for several good candidates.  So how relevant is Louisiana to the presidential primary process? Not much. But that could change.
