Louisiana is going into its fourth year of John Bel Edwards at its helm. The first three years have been quite rocky, in large part due to his predecessor, Governor Bobby Jindal, leaving a major budget deficit that needed filling. As a result, numerous special sessions, a few totally unsuccessful, ultimately balanced the budget. Today, Edwards, a Democrat, says the days of raising taxes are over, that the budget has been stabilized.

Video Streaming to win elections and political campaigns

I have been using online streaming for roughly seven years when Google Hangouts first became public. As one of the early adopters of social media streaming, first hangouts, then Periscope & Twitter, then Facebook Live and Facebook news feed, I have seen the incredible evolution of these technologies.

I am proud to say that I am one of the first to learn how to create a video stream in real-time and talk political radio programs, multi-person streaming and simulcast streaming which amounts to streaming to more than one social media location, such as Twitter, periscope, youtube, facebook timelines, groups, and pages, all at once.

Through my website, Bayoubuzz.com, we published video streaming shows using the full array of technologies and lately, our preference is Facebook Live.  Keep in mind, the key is not just utilizing the basic Facebook Live technologies to make this happen, it is also, using other related technologies such as captioning, bringing in tweets, Facebook posts into the conversation, to make the show more TV-oriented.

Above are just some of the Facebook Live interviews and conversations I have done with a variety of people. They involve winning elections, Louisiana politics, US politics, business, Donald Trump issues and so much more.

Take a look at some of our shows. Keep in mind, a political campaign, a candidate, an organization of any type can use the best in online streaming to connect with audiences, something that has never been done before with such specificity and interactivity.

These videos show the evolution of the technologies. Some have worked beautifully, others, well, not as well as others. It is all a learning process, but the technology works and is only getting better.

Isn’t it interesting?

Some of the same people who excoriated President Barack Obama for pulling the troops out of Iraq are now either silent or are applauding President Trump’s yanking our military out of Syria, immediately. Oh, and soon, out of Afghanistan.

Back then, Trump led the charge. Every opportunity, he blamed Obama for taking steps that were feckless and weak

Last night, the controversy surrounding President Donald Trump, Robert Mueller and his pick for Attorney General got more confusing and more combative.

Here are the details:

Eddie is ready.

This version of “Eddie’s Ready”, a slogan used by former New Orleans City Court Judge and Councilman, Eddie Sapir, could apply now to Baton Rouge businessman Eddie Rispone.

As we enter December 2018, in the land of Louisiana politics, there are two certainties:

No. 1: US Senator John Kennedy is not running for Louisiana governor.

No. 2: The Democratic Party seems as if they could not be happier, for now.  The GOP bench of gubernatorial hopefuls is woefully thin.

Exit stage left, US Senator John Kennedy in his bid to be the next Louisiana Governor.

Despite being in a strong position to capture the Governor's mansion, today In a press release, Kennedy stated he won’t run for governor, despite currently leading the current governor in a one on one poll by Bernie Pinsonat over Democrat Governor John Bel Edwards. Kennedy led Edwards in that poll by four points, 49-45 percent. Kennedy had a favorable rating of 61% whereas Edwards rated 60%.

Kennedy is the junior US Senator but has made a strong impact on the cable news circuits due in part to his southern folksy quips.

Might folksy US Senator John Neely Kennedy’s greatest strength, as of lately, morph into a sore political Achilles heel?

That is apparently what Democratic political Super PAC American Bridge is shooting for as the Senator keeps us all in suspense. The mystery is whether he will jump into the campaign waters once again, this time, for Louisiana Governor.

KENNEDY JBE 4

Should US Senator John Kennedy on Monday decide to run for Louisiana governor, he has the wind blowing behind his back, at least, so it seems, based upon a just-released poll by Bernie Pinsonat.

Pinsonat has just released his annual winter poll and from all indications, he has ahead of John Bel Edwards, 49-45 percent. The elections take place next fall.
