Based upon today’s results, the team could pull ahead of Tampa Bay once again. The Bucs lost today and are now 4-3.  The Saints, who lost to the Buccaneers last week could pull ahead with a 5-2 record.  The Falcons and the Panthers also won today and stand at 4-3 and 2-5 respectively.

ROSTER CHANGES: The Saints announced Satuday that they have waived/injured T Alex Barron, waived/vested veteran/left squad C Olin Kreutz and signed QB Sean Canfield. The announcements were made by Saints’ Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis.

Kreutz had appeared in 195 career games with 187 starts in his 14-year NFL career. Originally a third round draft choice of the Chicago Bears in 1998, the former University of Washington standout had spent the first 13 seasons of his career in Chicago where he was a six-time Pro Bowl selection. He started all four games at center he appeared in for New Orleans in 2011 after signing with the club in training camp.
