New Orleans Ssaints Tom Benson has announced that Joe Vitt will fill the spot as head coach for Sean Payton as a result of Payton's suspension resulting from Bountygate. Vitter has been suspended for six games. Up to the selection, the rumors were that Bill Parcells would take the Saints job despite his statement days ago that he would not.

We are looking forward to the start of the offseason program, the NFL Draft, our minicamps and training camp. We are looking forward to the start of our season, as I know that all of our fans are and we are looking forward to competing and winning a championship right here in our own city, in our own stadium this year.”
