Having a storm in the Gulf of Mexico is not at all uncommon in the summer months, however, it certainly is unusual when it appears to be heading towards the gulf loaded with oil.

Here are photos sent by the Louisiana Bobby Jindal’s Office that show oil from a flyover of the Gulf of Mexico.

Photos taken in a flyover today show oil near the Lower Chandeleur Islands.
