n response to President Donald Trump’s executive action impacting the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), Mitch Landrieu, the U.S. Conference of Mayors President and New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu released the following statement:

The loud and emotional primal scream involving the NFL players, the American flag, President Donald Trump has subsided slightly due to the volume of other intervening events--yelling for attention and because various NFL teams have taken a different approach—take a knee before the National Anthem but stand when the music begins.

For many people, the New Orleans crime problem has been and is, the greatest challenge for the city, particularly for the next Mayor of the city who will be replacing the current city chief executive, Mitch Landrieu.  The prominence of the issue gets even more apparent as the voters face the New Orleans election and the New Orleans Mayor’s race.

According to the just-released annual report from the University of New Orleans, the job situation in New Orleans is better, the Port of New Orleans and New Orleans area tourism is strong, deplanement is increasing yet the population growth continues to only slightly tick up.

The incoming White House Communications Director for President Donald Trump Anthony Scaramucci has just announced at a press brefing that Sarah Huckabee Sanders is the new Press Secretary.  The announcement came after the sudden announcement announcement that Sean Spicer.  

Roughly eleven months are the great flood of 2016 that engulfed the capital region of Louisiana, Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards announced today a grant award for Hazard Mitigation to several local entities.

There's a growing discussion and debate over whether Donald Trump Jr. and Team Trump violated federal campaign financing law when it met with the Russians at Trump Tower on June 9th.
