LSU basketball coach Will Wade has been REINSTATED and all those Tiger Athletic Foundation (TAF) supporters can breathe a sigh of relief.

But does anyone even remember the shabby treatment of STEVEN HATFIELD by LSU? Did anyone ever protest the disgraceful manner in which he was shown the door? Well, a handful of SCIENTISTS did protest Hatfield’s firing, but who listens to scientists anyway? Certainly not Donald Trump.

Hatfield, for those who may not remember, was an expert on biological warfare who, along with about 30 others, found themselves on the FBI’s list of “persons of interest” in connection with its investigation of the 2001 anthrax attacks. Apparently, this honor was bestowed upon him because he had once passed through Fredrick, Maryland, where the anthrax envelopes were mailed from. Actually, he worked as a biodefense researcher for the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases at Fort Detrick in Frederick—enough to make him a “person of interest.”

It sounded like it came out of a movie plot.  In the early morning hours, federal agents stormed a home to make an arrest.  They had to be after some major drug lord or a sought-after terrorist. There were 29 agents all wearing military gear and carrying weapons.  High powered assault rifles were involved. Seventeen SUVs and two armored vehicles surrounded the home with lights flashing and sirens blaring.  It must be a really dangerous dude.

Down in the Bayou State, there’s a clamor for more executions. Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry makes no bones about his feelings.  More executions- including nitrogen gas, hangings, firing squads, electrocution and lethal injection.  But a federal judge has put all executions in Louisiana on hold for another year.

Bayoubuzz Note: For decades, Russia has been considered our adversary. For decades, the FBI has been considered a strong bulwark against crime, corruption and foreign attacks against American interests.

During the past year, since the candidacy of now-President Donald Trump, the way some in the country view Russia and its president, Vladimir Putin and even the FBI has changed.

Donald Trump and his ardent backers like Devin Nunes are fast to scream "witch hunt" at every turn. But, after reviewing the facts, there is a different story brewing.

Now that the FISA warrant is out, I have little doubt that Trump, Devin Nunes, Fox News and certain Republican lawmakers are cooking up narratives for political advantages, only. They surely don’t seek the truth.

For them, it's a matter of stirring the pot of falsehoods or be gobbled up with the facts.

President Trump insists that the FISA application supports his claims that the FBI and the DOJ have engaged in some nefarious actions against him. He and his loyalists have been accusing our intelligence community, the media, a few foreign intel services of Deep State. Arguably, now that everybody can read the FISA application, the four republican-appointed FISA judges should be included in the anti-Trump deceptions.

oig irrelevant 8James Comey, former FBI director, was considered to be contradiction, a riddle wrapped in an enigma. Now he’s a riddle wrapped in an enigma inside a Rubik’s cube. The Justice Department’s inspector general, Michael Horowitz, today, called Comey insubordinate and called his judgment into question. There’s a lot of questionable judgment running around Washington these days, including forcible segregation of immigrant children from their parents at the border, fetes for a ruthless dictator famed for killing members of his own family, and alleged official self-enrichment that would make King Midas blush.

double boilMore turmoil in the White House continues to cast doubt on Donald Trump’s leadership. Start with the firings of FBI Deputy Director, Andrew McCabe, and Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson. McCabe’s potentially unfavorable testimony before a grand jury convened by Special Counsel, Robert Mueller, doomed him. Trump has now fired two top FBI officials, including Director, James Comey, to protect himself from Mueller’s Russia investigation.

myth nunesWhat did U.S. Representative Devin Nunes know and when did he know it?

When the loyal soldier for President Donald Trump, Nunes, told the nation that the Democrats (DNC) and the Clinton campaign conspired with the FBI and the DOJ to obtain a search warrant and renewed warrants from the FISA court to surveil Carter Page for the purpose of hurting Trump, he put into the Congressional record and into the public debate, corrosive allegations of which he has not yet provided any proof.
