“Progress Again!” Donald Trump can have the success he craves, and breach the mega-chasm of civil division afflicting the country if he becomes a Democrat. It would mean campaigning for Democratic Senate and House candidates next Fall, but he could do it. Chuck and Nancy would help, and the public would reward the new show with high ratings.
So Donald Trump is running to be the next Treasurer of the great State of Louisiana?
It’s true. Well, actually, it's not.
Yabba, dabba do! It’s back to James Comey is a liar according to Sarah Huckabee Sanders, White House Press Secretary. “He lied,” she averred Monday, and claimed there’s new information that supports Comey’s firing as FBI Director. Brand new stuff! Can’t wait! Comey’s alleged dishonesty when he famously appeared before Congress to discuss his firing, Sanders said, was a matter for DOJ to investigate. She’s just a tad late and a dollar short.
Next week, the country will have to deal with a hurricane disaster as well as a national disaster, the unveiling of Hillary Clinton's new book, What Happened. In the book, the former First Lady and Secretary of State blames a variety of culprits for her upset defeat. She is clearly a woman who is bitter and has not accepted her loss to a political novice, Donald Trump.
Hurricanes are wreaking havoc. The West is ablaze. Iceland is melting. Nature is in an uproar and Rick Perry still doesn’t believe in climate change. And, then, there’s Kim Jong Un threatening WWIII. In the meantime, in Washington, Donald Trump is making financial deals with Democrats as President Gen. John Kelly runs the White House like a Marine battalion. Through it all, Special Counsel Robert Mueller plods along, trudging through the muddy night like Diogenes seeking just one honest man.

On August 29, 2005, monster Hurricane Katrina slammed into Louisiana and Mississippi. In the catastrophe that resulted, over 80% of New Orleans was flooded and 1,836 people in Louisiana and Mississippi died. The storm caused over $150 billion in damages and forced thousands of New Orleans and Gulf Coast residents to relocate, some permanently. Prior to Hurricane Katrina, the population of New Orleans was 484,000, while today only 391,000 people live in the city. It forever scarred a 300-year old city that has faced a number of challenges, but none greater than Hurricane Katrina.
Did James Comey exonerate Hillary Clinton prior to the end of the FBI investigation?
The President of the United States, Donald Trump says yes.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller is no fool. He’s aware of the rumors that President Donald Trump may try to fire him, or pardon those alleged to have violated federal law during, or before, the 2016 election. Should a pardon happen, in one scenario, Mueller’s work product is likely to be trucked to the Department of Justice, sealed, and given a disclosure date of fifty years from now. To insure this doesn’t happen, Mueller is said to be sharing his evidence with New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.
