Usually, a President that delivered seven million new jobs and a historically low unemployment rate can run for re-election on his economic program. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic destroyed the economy. Thus, President Trump’s masterful stewardship of the economy is no longer apparent as Americans struggle to deal with economic lockdowns, virus mandates, and high unemployment.

As the nation returns to lockdown mode again with an increase in virus numbers, economic progress will be curtailed. This issue is no longer the President’s best way to win re-election.

If you think President Donald Trump is down and out right now, I've got an old Hillary Clinton campaign to sell you.

Admittedly, his numbers look bad and can get worse.  Two national polls emerged on Wednesday, and the President trailed Joe Biden by double digits. As the Coronavirus bakes throughout the South and West, Trump can't catch his own breath to pick up any steam. Americans clearly blame him for blowing the greatest threat to America's health and economic growth. He inherited a good economy from President Barack Obama, although there were moments of wavering.  With the strong wind behind him, he improved upon its upward trajectory that had been in place since 2011. Still, people gave him credit for the excellent feeling of prosperity because it was happening on his watch.

lib tear 1

In the span of just over one month, a plethora of changes have occurred in the world, all to appease the politically correct guardians who now monitor every aspect of our society. After the brutal killing of African American George Floyd by a vicious white Minneapolis police officer, the entire world has changed.

While there have been some peaceful protests, there have been way too many criminals who have used the occasion to engage in rioting and looting. Across the nation, innocent business owners have been targeted by these destructive hooligans.

comeback trump 5

In the 1992 presidential campaign, candidate Bill Clinton referred to himself as the “comeback kid” after his second-place finish in the New Hampshire primary. Only a slick candidate with the skill of Bill Clinton would be able to turn a loss by 8% into a victory. However, his characterization, supported by the media, gave his campaign momentum and he eventually won the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination and the White House.

In this campaign, the real “comeback kid” is President Donald Trump. Of course, unlike Clinton, he has had to endure constant negative media coverage and unrelenting abuse from Democrats, the Deep State and anti-Trump elements in the Republican Party. This President never received a honeymoon and was subjected to the Russia hoax, the Stormy Daniels investigation, a two-year Special Counsel witch hunt, the Ukraine hoax, impeachment and constant leaks and backstabbing from his own administration.

biden mask 6

A big dividing line in our country today is whether to wear a face mask or not. For Memorial Day services, former Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Jill wore masks. In contrast, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump paid their respects on Memorial Day without masks.

In many cities and states across the nation, the number of Covid-19 cases is going down, yet the masking requirements are becoming more stringent. In New Orleans, residents are always supposed to wear a mask, even when outdoors. For businesses, both employees and customers must wear masks. These are more stringent requirements than the State of Louisiana which just recommends mask-wearing.

Former Vice President Joe Biden is the presumptive Democratic Party, presidential nominee. He has received the endorsements of every major figure in the party, including former President Barack Obama, and 2016 Democratic Party presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. Biden was also endorsed by all his opponents in this year’s nomination battle, including U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

What should we do about Tara Reade?

Unless you've been on media lockdown lately, the lady somewhat has morphed into Joe Biden's running mate, of sorts. The Bidens, the Democrats, the media, and the anti-Trumpers are running away from her story, ready to explode. They must not. The past has long legs.

lies damn 7

As the world begins a second month of lockdown in response to the nightmare known as the coronavirus, it is essential to examine how this mess developed and how we return to some semblance of normalcy.

As part of the quest for truth, the three types of lies must be identified: lies, damned lies and statistics.

It is a lie that COVID-19 originated at some wet market in Wuhan, China. The media and most of the scientific and medical communities are holding to that theory; however, we do not know definitively. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) officials were not allowed into China to investigate the virus in the early stages. The communist Chinese government is notorious for lying and mistreating both its citizens and outsiders, so their statements verifying the wet market origins of the virus cannot be trusted.

emergency

Today, President Donald Trump officially called a national emergency to deal with the ongoing threat of the coronavirus. This is the latest in a series of escalating steps that have been taken to deal with the ongoing crisis.

While the President acts at a national level, Governors across the country are making similar decisions in their states. Sporting events, business conferences, schools, and other large gatherings have been either canceled or postponed.

U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) just announced his intention to remain in the race for President. Sanders will debate former Vice President Joe Biden on Sunday in Arizona in the first one-on-one encounter of the campaign. It will take a miracle for Sanders to win the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination at this point. His preferences for socialist and communist dictatorships have come back to do tremendous harm to his electoral chances.
