SCREW GOP min
So, the GOP doesn't like Trump hogging donors for $ which he is demanding cash go only to his Save America PAC. He claims he doesn't want any $ to go to RINO'S (and fools) and presumably those who impeached him.  He says he doesn't want his name/identity to be used without his approval.
If you're a donor, just what do you do? Do contribute to his personal slush fund PAC or do you stay loyal to the party? True, the party might help people like Rep. Cheney, Romney and others.
But, don't forget, the number of Republican US Senators not seeking re-election is now up to FIVE.  Not good, even for mastermind Mitch McConnell.

The Republican Party has total control of the Louisiana Legislature, with a supermajority in the State Senate and an overwhelming margin in the House of Representatives. Unfortunately, these legislative Republicans, who were elected to enact policies in line with the party’s platform, are not standing up for their principles and opposing the liberal agenda of Governor John Bel Edwards.

ROMNEY MAN 5

Thank God, the Congressional GOP found an honest man.

Today, Mitch Romney defied his party, his president, his future re-election and followed his conscience. He stated that he is a religious man and as such, took his oath as a promise to God to be fair and just. In doing so, he felt the evidence was simply overwhelming to support the impeachment of Donald J. Trump. He said Trump committed an impeachable offense and should be removed.

The Democrats in the House Judiciary Committee have approved the two articles of impeachment against President Trump.

Next week, it will be the full house. The writing is on the wall.  Next month, the fork turns and Mitch McConnell takes his seat at the front of the impeachment table.

Now, perhaps, it is a time to reflect.

You know it has been a charade, a fraud, a hoax when a side, who has complained non-stop about the impeachment process, has no problem with the upcoming US Senate trial, even knowing that  the man in charge is assuring an acquittal.

For weeks, the Republican Party has slammed the Democrats focused upon what they consider to be unfair hearings.  They invaded one of the hearings armed with fried chicken and their phones which was against the House security rules. They tweeted non-stop how crooked was the intel chairman, Adam Schiff.  They claim Schiff lied when he read a parody. They don't state that Schiff said publcly that what he was going to read was "essentially" what was written.

Right about that.' Of course you haven't thought about that. Too busy trying to impeach the president! Too busy slapping subpoenas on Corey Lewandowski!"

trump top

Donald Trump has been like no other president in American history. To say he is unique would be an understatement. He is the first president to make extensive use of social media especially Twitter. His daily tweets are the talk of the daily news cycle.

In addition to his extensive use of Twitter, Donald Trump’s campaign rallies are just as much over the top as his tweets. His exaggeration of his accomplishments and his claims of the failures of prior presidents are hallmarks for news coverage and food for his followers. His legions of supporters love him. The left not so much. And those who consider themselves in the political middle are left perplexed and confused.

nanny state 7

Once again, Louisiana politicians are on the verge of passing another law that will restrict our freedoms and take money out of the pockets of hard-working Louisiana taxpayers, all in the name of safety.

For several years, LA State Representative Mike “Pete” Huval (R-Breaux Bridge) has tried to pass a bill banning the right of a motorist to use a handheld cell phone in a vehicle. The bill would prohibit both phone calling and GPS use by responsible drivers.

says poll2 1

A new Morning Consult/politico poll emerged Wednesday morning with interesting results as it relates to a variety of issues--which party is  most trusted on healthcare, the Joe Biden factor, the evolution and support of the Mueller probe and other issues.

With President Donald Trump now planning to make healthcare reform a major 2020 campaign issue, as of today, with 19 months prior to election day, the voters trust the Democrats more than the Republicans on that vital issue.

When will country prevail over political party?

That is my question after watching the grueling, emotional hours yesterday when Donald Trump’s former fixer Michael Cohen went to Washington and appeared on our electronic screens worldwide.

Asking this question scares me. Worse, the answers shake me to my core.

couv congress 8

The US mid-terms elections are less than three weeks away. The control of Congress and the future of the Trump presidency is in the balance. The President has hit the campaign road telling the crowd that the election is basically about him, although, in an AP interview, he said that should Republicans lose the House, he should not be faulted.

At this moment, it appears to many observers that the Republicans will keep their margin in the US Senate, possibly adding to their margins. The numbers just look overwhelming for the Democrats to essentially run the house, so to speak, in order to win. The possibility that they can pull off a Trump-like sweep at the last moment of states expected to lose probably is too much against the odds.
